A-4: NONDEGREE STUDENTS

Procedure:

  1. To enroll for the first time in the University as a nondegree regular student, a person who has not been dropped as a degree or degree-seeking provisional student for poor scholarship must complete an Undergraduate Nondegree Enrollment Form.
  2. A person dropped as a degree or degree-seeking provisional student for poor scholarship may enroll as a non-degree conditional student in accordance with Senate Policy 14-00. A student may enroll for a maximum of 12 credits per semester while in non-degree conditional status.
  3. Nondegree students who maintain continuous enrollment may use eLion to register for courses.
  4. Nondegree students who interrupt their enrollment by missing a fall or spring semester and who wish to return to the University must complete an Undergraduate Nondegree Enrollment Form. Once the form is processed, the student may register for courses through eLion.
  5. All nondegree students are accommodated in credit courses on a space available basis.
  6. Nondegree regular enrollment at University Park is limited to students who meet one of the following: 
    1. permanent residence within Centre County;
    2. currently attending, or a graduate of, a secondary school within Centre County; or
    3. have received a high school diploma or its equivalent a minimum of one year prior to requesting enrollment.
