The University Fellowships Office (UFO) aims to spark personal reflection and professional growth in undergraduates and to enhance the understanding of fellowships within the Penn State community.
Penn State students and alumni have repeatedly earned a wide range of fellowships at all levels including Fulbright Awards and Marshall, Gates Cambridge, and Churchill scholarships, among others.

- educate the Penn State community about major fellowship opportunities and the profile of a competitive candidate
- help students discover fellowship opportunities that match their goals and interests
- advise students through the logistics of the fellowship application process, provide writing assistance on most fellowship application materials, and prepare students for national fellowship interviews
- coordinate campus evaluation and selection processes for fellowships, when required
- prepare official University endorsement packages for selected fellowship nominees
