All-Staff Update

Final phase of new finance model to launch Feb. 24

Old Main Snowman

The third and final phase of the new shared services model for finance will launch on Feb. 24, enacting a modernized approach for the University under Finance and Business. After launch, there will be a 90-day “hypercare” period, where employees will have support to rapidly address issues, answer questions, and provide guidance in real time. This period is intended to ensure business continuity and build user confidence as the University transitions to new workflows and ways of working.

The transition will begin on Feb. 17, when new financial transactions will be temporarily paused and resume on Feb. 24. More information on the transition period, including which transactions will be paused, and additional details about “hypercare” can be found on the Finance OST website.

Find initiator overview training and deep-dive training (for each financial process) dates at change.psu.edu. Additional training materials, communications, and support resources will continue to be provided as we move closer to the Feb. 24 launch.
